It’s a common question from visitors: can I actually get prescription glasses made during a short trip to Madrid? The honest answer is: often yes, but it depends on your prescription and your dates. Here’s what to expect so there are no surprises.
Start with an eye study
Everything begins with a proper eye study. We measure your prescription precisely and check how your visual system works. Bring your current glasses or a recent prescription if you have one — it helps, though we can measure from scratch.
What can be ready quickly — and what can’t
Simple single-vision lenses can often be prepared faster than you’d think. Progressive or high-prescription lenses are made to measure and need more time and careful fitting; we won’t rush those, because a badly fitted progressive is worse than no glasses at all. Tell us your travel dates and we’ll give you a realistic timeline.
Pickup and shipping
If your glasses can be ready before you leave, you collect them in-store in Salesas. If not, we can discuss insured international shipping for many frames. Non-prescription sunglasses and accessories are the easiest to take with you the same day.
Book before you arrive
The single best thing you can do is reserve a time in advance and tell us your dates. That way a selection is ready and we can plan the lenses around your trip. WhatsApp is the quickest channel, in English.
